This Week in...Sports? No, wait!
Future goals: More effective time-boxing, but more "importantly" re-learning how to actually write without dropping a ball of incoherent garble.
The past week and a half at Acquia have been insane. I feel like I've actually gone through a month in that span of time, between all the things I've learned and the pace I'm learning them at - something that is totally quantifiably good and scary. To wrap-up last weeks adventures, we presented our portfolio sites (possibly a reason you're reading this right now) and had a chance to look at what neat tricks other people came up with in regards to the project requirements. It was great seeing other people's styles and strengths, which was definitely reflected by the parts of the site that they focused on. Being Friday, it was also an opportunity to review the things we had blazed by over the course of the week. I was definitely enjoying immersing myself in new tools, and trying to meet all these new challenges and limitations head on. I think I'm developing a bit of a workaholic attitude right now, just because I don't think I've necessarily taken a break. Even while I was in New York over the weekend, I found myself going back to try and fix up certain things on my designs, and also researching and toying with some more CSS3 gimmicks. I'll do my best to not embed and hide rotate transforms all over my designs, I promise...
